Man rescues a lone roadside kitten, then returns the next day with a search party to find his siblings: 'The whole litter basically got a second chance thanks to one person stopping to help.'

Sometimes it takes just one person noticing to save a whole litter of kittens.

We all like to think of ourselves as very good people, kind and compassionate. But when it comes to the test, there are really only a few heroes who step up to this conceived ideal. And this one person not only adopted the abandoned kitten he found, but as he told on the r/CatDistributionSystem
sub Reddit, he organized a whole search party made of his family and friends to save even more kittens. That's a hero in our books. Our very cat-loving books.

As any regular person who reads this, we ask ourselves, "Would I do the same?" And we'd like to believe that yes, we would. But thinking like this is just the normal human response. This is how we psychologically perceive ourselves. Would you do it? Would you adopt a kitten in need, even if you had already had a house full of pets and a cat-skeptic girlfriend? Would you go out of your way to search for the rest of the kittens, and rally people you know for the cause?

These are questions that no one can honestly answer about themselves. But we have one example of a hero to aspire to be. A hero who saved a kitten, and then saved the entire litter.

As it seems, the CDS (the Cat Distribution System) really does know how to pick its agents. They don't only match the cat in need to the person who will adopt them - they also make sure to match a cat in need to the person who will transfer them to their forever home. It's a holistic system that no one knows how it works. But it does. And we're very happy for it.

Despite the explanation below, that Milo is, in fact, not a white cat (and most probably not deaf) - this question is well placed. There are many more deaf white kittens with blue eyes on average - just like this one abandoned white kitten we wrote about here not long ago.
It happens because of the dominant W (White) gene, which controls coat color, eye color, and inner ear development. This gene prevents pigment-producing cells from migrating to the inner ear, causing the sound-sensing structures to degenerate shortly after birth.
But don't worry about Milo, as his now-family updated here - he's purrfectly healthy.

Aww, this is pawdorable. Going from “I don't like cats” to “I'm hugging my own cat child” is a big threshold to cross. And honestly, we're so proud of every person crossing it. Some people are even afraid of cats! But cats are full of love ot give. So we're very proud of this girlfriend who gave this kitten a chance.
